How to shift to neutral with the ignition off on DS7 and Peugeot 2008/3008/5008

The procedure to shift to neutral (N) with the car off for vehicles like the DS7 or Peugeot 2008/3008/5008 is essential to know if you need to load the vehicle onto a tow truck or for emergencies. The procedure to follow should be done quickly: start the engine normally with the brake pedal pressed, shift the lever to neutral, then turn off the ignition without pressing the brake; immediately after, turn on only the instrument cluster without pressing the brake. Pull the gear lever towards you and hold it for about 5 seconds. Then press the brake pedal and disengage the electric handbrake. Completely turn off the ignition: now the car is in neutral with the ignition off, and you can push or tow it.
