Assembly of the rear headlight of the Ducati Monster 620

Model: Ducati Monster 620 I E
Part: Tail light

Video tutorial

If the rear light of the Ducati Monster is damaged and needs to be replaced, we can take the opportunity to install a LED version to improve the aesthetics and increase visibility. Start by removing the seat, using a 10mm ratchet wrench to unscrew the two bolts that secure the light, remove it and disconnect the three electrical connections.

Take the new light, cut the terminals of the three wires and insert three connectors in their place and tighten them with the appropriate pliers. Restore the electrical connections respecting the wire colors, perform a test to verify that everything works correctly, position the light in its housing, and secure it with the bolts.

An Affordable Modification to Solve a Problem on the Yamaha MT07

This video shows how to solve a problem affecting the Yamaha MT07 with a very affordable modification. This bike requires a specific movement of the throttle grip to accelerate, which forces the right wrist into an unnatural twist. You can remedy this by fitting the throttle control from the R6, which reduces the rotation from 90° to 45°; the cost is under £25 even when buying the original part directly from the dealership. As shown, the disassembly and reassembly work is extremely simple; just be careful not to let the throttle guide slip, as it has its seat directly in the cover. You can see the difference in hand position after replacing the grip.
