Replacing the Oil Filter and Engine Oil on a Ducati Hypermotard

This guide shows how to replace the oil filter and engine oil on a Ducati Hypermotard. Position the motorcycle on a side stand (if you do not have a centre stand), unscrew the oil filler cap; using a socket wrench, unscrew the bolt of the oil sump (drain the fluid into a container).

Unscrew the cartridge oil filter. Remove the worn oil filter and fit a new one after cleaning the threads.

Finally, refill the new oil into the engine using a funnel and close with the plastic cap. Check the oil level with the appropriate transparent indicator.

How to Remove the Engine from the KTM XC-W 300?

To remove the engine from the KTM XC-W 300, loosen the bolts that secure it to its housing in the centre of the frame: once the support bolts are removed, proceed to loosen the bolts securing the exhausts and then disconnect all related connectors.
