Regularly changing the engine oil and oil filter is essential for the proper functioning of the engine. Here’s how to perform the service on a Ducati 1198. First, place your motorcycle on a stand and start by unscrewing the oil drain bolt located under the engine, allowing it to drain into a container for about ten minutes.

Then, unscrew the oil filter cartridge and clean the small mesh filter, as shown in the video. At this point, screw in and gently tighten the new oil filter, and finally, pour in the appropriate oil for your engine!
