How to remove the rear shock absorber on a Fiat Panda? The first step: loosen the wheel nuts, lift the car on a column lift or jack, and remove the rear wheel. Use a socket wrench to unscrew the shock absorber mounting bolts at the wheel hub (disconnect the brake line clips with a screwdriver). Unscrew the bolt on the side (top of the shock absorber), and remove the shock absorber from its housing. Compare the old part with the new one and prepare for installation. Fit the new shock absorber onto the car, working in reverse order.
