How do you remove the front shock absorber from a Fiat Panda? The first step: loosen the bolts of the front wheel, lift the car on a column lift, and remove the wheel. Use a socket spanner to unscrew the bolts securing the shock absorber to the wheel hub (remove the brake line clips with a screwdriver).

Go to the engine bay and unscrew the bolts on the side (top of the shock absorber), then pull the shock absorber out of its housing. Compare the old part with the new one and prepare to fit the shock absorber onto the spring using a suitable compression tool.

Once everything is assembled, proceed to install the shock absorber back onto the vehicle in reverse order.
