How to Remove the Front Shock Absorber on a Fiat Panda

Damaged front shock absorbers and unsure how to replace them? Here’s how to remove them on a Fiat Panda. Loosen the wheel nuts, lift the car on a column lift and remove the wheel. Unscrew the securing bolts of the shock absorber to the wheel hub using a socket wrench (disconnect the brake circuit pipes with a screwdriver). Unscrew the bolts located at the top of the shock absorber (under the bonnet), and remove the shock absorber from its housing. Compare the old part with the new one and prepare for the assembly of the shock absorber to the spring using a suitable compression tool if available. Secure the new shock absorber and the securing bolts.
