How to change the brake fluid on a Fiat Tipo 356

To perform this operation, place the car on axle stands and remove the wheels. Start with the left rear caliper, which is the furthest from the pump. Open the bonnet, siphon the old fluid from the reservoir with a pump, and top up with new DOT4 fluid to the maximum level. Place an 11 mm spanner on the caliper bleed screw and attach a clear tube that ends in a bottle. Have an assistant pump the pedal several times until it becomes firm. Open the bleed screw; the pedal will drop and old fluid will come out. Close the bleed screw before the pedal reaches the end of its travel; repeat until new, clean fluid comes out. Check the level: after 2-3 openings, the reservoir should remain full. Repeat the same procedure on the other calipers: right rear (11 mm spanner), right front (8 mm spanner), and then left front (8 mm spanner). Top up the reservoir to the correct level, refit the wheels, and tighten the bolts to 115 Nm with a torque wrench.
