To resolve the "check engine" light and "start & stop not available" message, the YouTuber recommends using a diagnostic tool (the one in the video is an ELM327, available on Amazon with code B0CW9TGVV1 for £16.99, free delivery for Prime customers).

Insert the tool into the vehicle's EOBD socket, turn on the ignition, connect the ELM327 to your phone via Bluetooth or cable, and open the diagnostic app (like Car Scanner or similar).

Read the error codes and wait for confirmation of deletion. Turn off the ignition and then start the engine.

The warning light should be off.
