Tappet adjustment on a Fiat Punto

Model: Fiat Punto 176, MK 1 - Years 1993-1999

After having prepared all the necessary equipment, we begin the operations. The images in this video refer to a 176 series engine. Let's start by removing the valve cover fixed by some perimeter screws which we will be able to access after removing the air filter. We engage 5th gear and push the car until the valves are in the right position. At this point we check the distance with the thickness gauge between the cam and the plate, after which we can remove it making sure to use the right tools at this point we can replace it with one of the suitable thickness. After repeating the operation for all the valves, clean the tappet cover housing and reassemble everything.
