In today's video tutorial, we will see how to disassemble and replace the gear knob of the Fiat Punto, following the instructions below. First, we get into the car and start pulling the gear knob upwards with force, in order to release it and remove it along with the gear shift boot; then we separate the two components and install the new gear knob onto the gear lever, as shown in the video. Finally, we properly fix the boot onto the base of the gear lever, trying not to create any annoying play between the lever and the knob itself!

Let's see in this guide the main steps to be able to change the transmission oil of the second series Fiat Ducato, with 2.8 JTD engine. First of all we lift the car and go to locate the gear oil vent bolt, which we find near the transmission; we use a hex wrench to unscrew it, letting it drain the old oil in a container for about ten minutes. At this point we open the bonnet and remove the air intake sleeve, so as to be able to access the gearbox oil filling hole; then we fill up to the maximum level!
