Replacing Front Brake Discs and Pads

Model: Fiat Punto MK 2, 188 - Years 1999-2011

Lift the vehicle on suitable axle stands and remove the front wheel (loosen the bolts before lifting the vehicle); then unscrew the bolts securing the brake caliper bracket and then the bolts securing the disc to the hub. Clean the new disc to remove any protective oil residue and secure it to the hub by tightening the respective bolts. Next, remove the old pads from the brake caliper; retract the piston using a C-clamp and insert the new pads. Finally, secure the caliper to the hub. Repeat the same operation on the other wheel. Be cautious during the first braking.
