Replacing a Rear Silent Block on Fiat Punto

Model: Fiat Punto MK 3, Punto EVO, 199, Grandepunto - Years 2005-2018

Learn how to replace the silent blocks without removing the rear axle, simply by lowering it. Disconnect the handbrake cables, then lift the rear of the car and remove the two rear wheels. Unclip the handbrake cable and the ABS cable, then undo the nut related to the brake fluid cable (put a cap on it to prevent fluid from leaking), then remove the metal clip. Position an electric (or hydraulic) jack at the centre of the rear axle, then undo the two bolts securing the axle. Lower the jack by about 4 inches and you will have access to the silent blocks.
