Replacing the Dualogic Automatic Gearbox Oil in the Fiat 500

Locate the automatic gearbox oil reservoir, which is situated beneath an aluminium heat shield. From above, unscrew the oil filler cap; however, you cannot siphon the used oil from here as you cannot insert a suitable rubber tube due to a bend in the pipe just below the cap. Position the car on a ramp and remove the screws securing the aluminium shield. Move the shield and locate the metal oil connection pipe. Loosen the connection of the pipe, and before removing it, place a container underneath to catch the used oil. After confirming via the visual level of the reservoir that almost all the oil has been extracted, you can re-screw the pipe connection and refit the aluminium shield. Ensure to use gearbox oil that meets the specifications suitable for your gearbox, and using a tube and funnel, proceed to top up with new oil.
