In this video, you will see how to replace the tailgate struts on a 2009 Grande Punto. The operation is quite simple, but you will need two people because once the two old struts are removed, the tailgate will drop completely. Therefore, while one person installs the new struts, the other must hold the tailgate. To remove the old struts, use a flat screwdriver and apply slight pressure on the clip at the end of the strut to detach it from the tailgate ball. After removing one strut, you can start installing the new one by inserting the ball into the strut's entry hole with slight pressure. The entire process will take about 5 minutes.
