To replace the fuel pump on a Fiat Punto, loosen the bolts securing the rear seat so it can be removed to access the components underneath. Next, unscrew the screws securing the fuel pump protection plate, which must be removed to access the pump itself. Release the pump from its mounting bolts and disconnect its power cables to extract it from the tank. After removal, insert the new replacement part and reassemble the rear seat.
