Next, get inside the vehicle, turn off the car, and engage the parking brake. Lift the hood and secure it with the prop rod. Locate the filter box, remove the fasteners from the cover, take off the cover, and remove the old filter from its housing. Cover the air intake parts with a clean cloth to prevent dirt from entering the system, clean the housing and cover of the filter, insert the new filter, and reposition and secure the cover.
