Instead of spending money on a new one, they decided to repair it. Remove the transparent part, clean it thoroughly, and strip away the damaged paint. Spray the inside with a colour of your choice, a nice bright red. Clean the base well and reassemble the two parts; the result is truly excellent.

The badge looks brand new.
