In this video, see how to choose tyres for a Fiat Ducato camper. First, check the size on the sidewall: in this specific case, 195 is the width, 75 is the aspect ratio (expressed in cm), and 16 is the diameter of the tyre (expressed in inches).

The tyre also displays the manufacturing date, which consists of four digits in sequence: the first two are the week, and the last two are the year of manufacture. Do not fit a tyre older than five years.

For the camper, use 'Camping' tyres specifically designed for this purpose; always check the pressure before setting off, as it is crucial for such a heavy vehicle. The driver's door has a label with the recommended pressures; it is important to keep the tyres well inflated to avoid uneven wear; check for any impacts and ensure the sidewall is sound, and especially that the tyre is not ovalised - as it can become oval if stationary for a long time under heavy weight - it is advisable to move the camper slightly from its position to avoid this issue, or keep it raised off the ground.
