How to Change the Rear Light on the Ford Ka

On the Ford Ka, access to the rear light is from the boot. Open the tailgate and remove the small internal panel covering the light to reach the fastenings. Once visible, unscrew the nuts/fasteners holding the light unit in place. After unlocking the fastenings, the light can be pulled outwards with a controlled motion, without forcing. At this point, work on the back of the light: the video shows the disconnection of the electrical connector and the removal of the bulb holder (if the operation concerns only the bulbs) or the preparation of the new light in case of complete unit replacement. For reassembly on the Ford Ka, correctly reposition the light (or the bulb holder with new bulbs), reconnect the connector, and press it back against the bodywork. Re-screw the fastenings from inside the boot and close the access panel. Finally, test the lights to ensure that the position, stop, and indicators work correctly.
