Gearbox Mount Replacement

Model: Ford Mustang S197, MK 5 - Years 2005-2014

To replace the gearbox mount, first lift the car, preferably on a ramp. Then position another hydraulic jack with the appropriate plate directly under the gearbox to support it, allowing you to work safely. At this point, begin to unscrew the bolts of the mount located at the centre of the crossmember. Usually, this is not necessary, but in this case, you will need to remove the crossmember to replace the mount. Proceed by also unscrewing the bolts of the crossmember. Use a bar to free and remove the crossmember. Always check the replacement part against the new one to ensure they are exactly the same and compatible. Refit the crossmember after inserting the new mount at its centre. Car model: Ford Mustang Year: 2005
Required tools: gearbox lifting plate, socket wrenches of various sizes, power screwdriver.
