Replacing Central Console Bulbs

Model: Ford Focus MK 1 - Years 1998-2004

To replace the backlighting bulbs for the climate control switches on the central console, you need to remove the console panel itself. Start by removing the radio, which requires inserting the appropriate extraction keys into the holes on either side of the radio. Once the radio is removed and disconnected, unscrew the four screws underneath, disconnect the cigarette lighter and the parking indicator switch connectors, and remove the panel. At this point, you can access the bulb holders and replace the bulbs (T10 fitting); it is advisable to replace all of them, not just the blown ones.
