How to Replace the Rear Headlamp Bulb

This guide shows how to replace the bulb in the rear headlamp of the car. It is not the easiest task, but with some manual dexterity, you can do it without going to a mechanic. Start by unscrewing the screws located on the top side of the headlamp assembly, trying to remove the upper cover by pulling it outwards, taking care with the electrical wires connected to the lamps. Once the piece is open, disconnect the connectors and wires, and remove the complex wiring to replace the headlamp. To reassemble the headlamp assembly or the new lamp, simply repeat the entire process in reverse.

If the central locking system of the Volkswagen Golf 4 is not working, it is likely necessary to reset the system: to do this, open the driver's door and detach the side panel of the dashboard next to the steering wheel.
