Today's step-by-step instructions will show us how to disassemble and replace the latch or lock of the rear hatch of the Ford Focus. First, we open the rear hatch of the trunk and start removing the inner plastic panel, unscrewing all the fastening screws; then we unscrew the screws of the hatch lock and disconnect its electrical connector, as shown in the video. At this point, we make the repair or replacement of the hatch lock, then install the new one; we adjust the lock making sure that the hatch closes correctly!

If the central locking system of the Volkswagen Golf 4 is not working, it is likely necessary to reset the system: to do this, open the driver's door and detach the side panel of the dashboard next to the steering wheel.
