To replace the cylinder head gasket on the Gilera Runner 180 XVR, you need to completely remove the engine from its housing. To do this, detach the side fairings located just before the swingarm. Once these are removed, loosen all the bolts and connectors that secure the swingarm to the rest of the bike. At this point, you can slide it out along with the engine. The engine must be opened by unscrewing the bolts that secure the cylinder head to detach the corresponding gasket. You can now replace it with a new one, reassembling all previously removed components.
