The air filter replacement on the Harley Davidson Softail can be done by loosening the central nut that secures the filter box cover, located on the right side of the vehicle. Once the nuts are loosened, the cover can be removed and access to the underlying filter will be possible: the filter should be removed from its housing by unscrewing the fixing screws and then installing the new filter in its housing.

After installing the filter, the cover can be reinstalled, securing it with the screw and ensuring that everything is functioning properly.
