Carry out these checks on a monthly basis to avoid surprises. After checking that the lights work and all turn on (including the arrows and the stops), check the wear of the front tire by inserting a € 2 coin into the tachet, to get an idea of how much rubber has been used up . When the silver part of the coin is completely hidden in the slot it means that the tires are almost to be changed. Do the same with the rear tire. If you have a caliber instead of using the coin, it is obviously much better. Also check the oil level often and the play of the drive chain: it must not exceed 1.5 cm.

Change the Ducati Hypermotard engine oil and oil filter

Below we will see the main steps that will allow us to carry out the routine maintenance service, replacing the engine oil and oil filter of the Ducati Hypermotard motorcycle. First of all we put the stand on our motorbike and we begin to unscrew the vent bolt that we find under the engine, letting it drain in a container for about ten minutes; then we go and unscrew the oil filter cartridge, screwing the new one by hand and then gently tighten it, as shown in the video. Finally, unscrew the filler cap and top up again!
