To change the gear oil on a Vespa 125 LX, unscrew the drain plug of the reservoir that contains the oil: this is located at the lower rear of the transmission casing, on the left side of the bike near the rear wheel. Once the drain plug is removed, collect the oil in a container until it is empty. At this point, top up through the breather located at the rear of the bike by adding the necessary amount of oil and then close the plug.
