The first thing to do when assembling the battery is to connect the positive pole: insert the battery eyelet into the screw and, if the screw is too long for the battery purchased, put washers (see video). The exact same speech must be repeated with the negative pole. Tighten both screws firmly. At this point you can already check that the lights on the bike come on and that the battery is working. Insert the battery in place. Securely place the motorcycle charger connector, for example in the fuse box, so it will be easily accessible in case you need it.

How do you change the engine oil of the BMW R 1200 GS?

The replacement of the engine oil of the BMW R 1200 GS is carried out by loosening the bolts that secure the skid plate positioned in the lower part of the bike. Once this plate has been removed, it will be possible to unscrew the drain plug below, so that the used oil can be collected inside a suitably positioned container. Next to the drain plug you will find the oil filter, which in turn must be extracted and replaced with a new one. After the replacement, it will be possible to top up from the special vent on the crankcase to the left of the bike.
