To replace the rear shock absorber on a Harley Davidson Sportster 1200, unscrew the nuts that secure the shock absorber to its housing; these will be located both at the top and bottom of the part. Once these nuts are unscrewed, you can remove the shock absorber from its housing to replace it with a new one. You can repeat the same operation on the other side; once the installation is complete, check that the new shock absorbers are functioning correctly.
