Use a 5 mm Allen key to remove the lower fairing from the engine compartment, as shown in the video. After warming the engine for a few minutes, position a container under the engine compartment and remove the two bolts that act as plugs for the oil drainage holes. While collecting the used oil in the container, unscrew the oil filter and remember to lubricate the new one’s o-ring well (even with the used oil) before fitting it. Screw the bolts back into the drainage holes, reattach the lower fairing by tightening the screws, and refill with the same amount of oil that was drained from the fill hole.

How to Replace the Battery in a Yamaha FZ6?
