This guide shows how to change the engine oil on the Honda CB500X. After securing the vehicle, remove the drain bolt with a 12 mm spanner located at the bottom of the vehicle and allow the fluid to drain into a suitable container; at this stage, remove the filler cap to allow the fluid to drain more quickly. Once the drain plug is closed, remove the oil filter located at the front of the engine; allow any residual oil to drain into a container. Install the new filter after lubricating the seal and tighten it in place. Fill the oil reservoir to the correct level and start the engine for a few minutes. Check the lubricant level again and top up if necessary.
