How to reset the DCT gearbox on the Honda X-ADV?

In this tutorial, we can see how to reset the dual-clutch transmission in the Honda X-ADV, simply known as the DCT. This procedure should be done in case of malfunction or if we want to restore factory settings. First of all, start the engine and put the transmission in the N position, then turn it off and turn it on again while holding down the D button, releasing it only once the engine light disappears. At this point, follow the sequence DDNDN, restart the engine, and let it idle for a few seconds. If the procedure has been done correctly, we will see the D and S lights disappear.

In today's video tutorial we will see how to disassemble the head, cylinder and piston (thermal group) of the Garelli Vip, but also of the Piaggio Si. The disassembly operation of the thermal group can take place both with the engine installed on the bodywork and on the bench. ; then we begin to unscrew the head fixing screws, using a socket wrench with extension. At this point we unscrew the nuts of the muffler manifold, in order to remove it from the cylinder; then let's take the cylinder out of the piston, then removing the pin of the latter to remove it from the connecting rod, following the video to the end!
