Replacing Climate Control Switches

Model: Honda Civic MK 6 - Years 1995-2001
Part: A/C controls

Unclip and remove the glove compartment beneath the centre console by disconnecting the cigarette lighter connector. Unscrew the screws securing the upper bracket.
Using a plastic lever, unclip the centre console with the climate control switches and pull it forward to detach it from its housing, disconnecting all connectors.
Then, unscrew the 3 screws securing the climate control switches on the left side, remove the knobs from the front, and extract the switches. Replace them with the new ones, tightening the respective securing screws and reapplying the adjustment knobs (replace the backlight bulbs if necessary).
Reposition the console in its housing, reconnect all connectors, press it until it clicks into place, screw in the two lower securing screws previously removed, and reapply the glove compartment.
