Replacing the button battery in the key of your Honda Accord Mk9 (2012-2017) involves just a few simple steps, which we will outline in this mini guide. Before you start, ensure you have a small cross-head screwdriver, a flat screwdriver, and a new CR1620 button battery.

Next, use the cross-head screwdriver to unscrew the screw located at the top of the cover. At this point, remove the rear cover with the help of the flat screwdriver and finally, replace the old battery with the new one.
