How to Replace the Gear Shift Gaiter on a Hyundai

For this simple operation, you will only need a few tools, such as a plastic lever to lift the lower edge that secures the gaiter without damaging the surrounding trim. This will allow you to remove the gaiter from the centre console of your vehicle. Next, unscrew the gear shift knob at the top to completely slide off the gaiter. Be careful of the spring located under the knob, then retrace the steps in reverse for reassembling the various components.
