Replacing the Third Brake Light Bulb on a Hyundai Sonata

To replace the third brake light bulb on the Hyundai Sonata, park your car on a flat surface or on a ramp, ensuring it is securely immobilised so that you can work safely and protect your wellbeing. Naturally, these precautions should be taken whenever performing maintenance on any vehicle. At this point, open the boot lid and locate the electrical connector for the brake light beneath the panel where the third brake light is positioned. Next, lower both rear seat backs (the video shows how to unlock and perform this action). Now, remove the padded elements on either side of the seat backs and the plastic covers above them by unscrewing the bolts that secure them. Finally, remove the panel where the third brake light is located by unscrewing the 5 screws that hold it in place. At the bottom of the panel, you can access the bulb and easily replace it.
