To replace the cooling fan resistor on the Hyundai Sonata, you must open the bonnet to access the engine bay. The fan is located near the front grille of the car, so to access the fan, you will need to loosen the bolts of the plastic cover at the top. At this point, disconnect the connector attached to the resistor and loosen the screws that secure it, removing it from its housing. Once the old resistor has been removed, you can replace it with a new spare part and reinstall all previously removed parts.
