The third brake light, located in the center of the rear window of cars, is now standard and no longer an optional feature to be requested at the time of purchase or to be installed aftermarket. In the Hyundai Sonata, replacing the burnt-out bulb of the aforementioned light is done as follows: We recline the rear seats to access the trunk, detach the door seal, always rear, remove the plastic covering of the pillar of the latter and thus reach, from the inside, the third brake light in question, opening it, removing the bulb, replacing it, and closing everything back up.
