How to Replace the Diesel Filter in a Hyundai Ix35 (Same as Kia Sportage)

To replace the diesel filter and air filter in a Hyundai Ix35 (same procedure for the Kia Sportage), follow these steps: start by removing the air filter assembly, then remove the battery using a 10mm spanner by unscrewing the terminals and taking it out after removing the bracket. Next, remove the ECU (disconnect the right connector first, then the left), once disconnected, move them (including the cables). Using a 12mm spanner, unscrew the ECU support bolts, remove the two connectors, disconnect the diesel supply line, and with a 10mm spanner, remove the three nuts holding the diesel filter in place. Release the diesel inlet pipe and remove it from its housing. Once the filter is detached from the casing, use a 12mm spanner to open the shell to access the filter, let out any remaining diesel, and remove the filter with a specific filter tool. Reassemble the various components, cleaning them first, lubricate everything, reconnect the various pipes and sensors, tighten the filter moderately, replace the shell by screwing in the bolts, reconnect the other pipes in the filter shell, and perform the reverse operation of the assembly. To replace the filter, since it has already been removed, place the new filter in the position of the old one and close everything up. Now you can test the car.
