Hyundai I20 - Video tutorial

Model: Hyundai I20 BC3, MK 3 - Years 2020-2024
Part: Tires
Operation: How to change a tire on a Hyundai.

In this video, we debunk the myth that a woman is not capable of changing a tire on her car: driving with a flat tire damages both the tire and the rim, and moreover, it is very unsafe. After all, changing a tire is not difficult if you follow these simple steps: gently slow down and stop in a safe and flat place. Turn on the hazard lights and engage the handbrake. Take the spare tire, and if available, a blanket, gloves, and towels. Loosen the wheel nuts before lifting the car, then find the lifting points to place the jack: they are indicated in the user manual. Do not use it on other points or you will damage the car! Lift the car enough for the tire to be off the ground; place the spare tire under the car, then remove the nuts and position the spare tire. Put the flat tire in its place under the car. Securely fasten the tire, remove the flat one from under the car, lower it, and tighten the nuts following a crisscross pattern. Put everything back in the trunk. Operation completed.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
