How to Remove the Oil Sump from a Hyundai Elantra

Model: Hyundai Elantra MK 4, HD - Years 2006-2010

Lift the car on a column lift to your preferred height. Unscrew the oil sump plug using a socket spanner, allow the oil to drain into a disposal container, and then refit the plug. Remove all the side plastic covers protecting the undertray with a battery or hand drill, then unscrew the fastening bolts around the perimeter of the oil sump. After removing the bolts from the sump, detach it from the engine block along with the gasket using a screwdriver.
