Hyundai Elantra - Video tutorial

Model: Hyundai Elantra MK 4, HD - Years 2006-2010
Part: Engine
Operation: How to partially disassemble the engine of a Hyundai Elantra

Let's see this video how to remove a part of the engine of a Hyundai Elantra. We lift the car on a column bridge placing it at the preferred height, unscrew the plug pin of the oil pan and let it flow into a container for disposal, screw the pin back on. We unscrew all the engine side plastic parts with a cordless drill, then unscrew the oil pan plastic and pull it off with a screwdriver. We unscrew the belt pins, remove the plastic panel on the engine head and remove the oil rod. We disconnect all the clamps from the pipes in the engine seats, unscrew all the pins of the cylinder head and remove it together with the gasket. Now we remove the air filter kit in such a way as to get to disassemble the throttle body, without removing the filter it is not possible to disassemble this. With pliers disconnect the metal clamps of the various pipes and the various power supply terminals as shown in the video. Unscrew the locking pins of the engine exhaust in the lower part and carefully pull it out of the compartment. Another step to take is to disassemble the alternator with its cables, disassemble the engine chain guard with all its pins, take the chain out of its seat, now unscrew the engine head with a battery drill. We are careful to extract all the pins from the seats, the camshaft and put everything in a container. For reassembly, we begin to lubricate the pieces to be assembled and reassemble them by proceeding backwards.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
