Let's see how to open the front hood of a Hyundai Elantra. Really easy operation, let's see. We pull the lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, slightly raise the engine hood and release the release lever. Once the engine hood is unlocked, lift it up and secure it with the locking rod. Now that we have opened the bonnet we can do our due maintenance. To close the hood we remove the safety rod and let the hood drop down from a minimum height. We close the hood firmly but not forcefully so as not to damage it.
