Let’s see how to fix the intermittent EDC light issue on an Iveco Daily. First of all: the EDC is the electronic brain of a diesel vehicle that decides how much diesel to send to the cylinders.

The vehicle would go into limp mode, with the EDC light on, the engine seeming to stall, and making terrible noises. The turn was found to be off. After an unsuccessful attempt, changing the EGR valve and then the pressure sensor; cleaning the pipes and changing the fuel filter, it was found that the culprit was a sneaky crankshaft position sensor (CMP sensor) near the oil filter.

It wasn’t completely broken (it still gave 700 Ohms instead of the expected 900), but it was enough to confuse the ECU. After replacing that component (at a low cost), the problem was resolved and the engine no longer caused issues.

How to Remove the Telepass from the Windscreen?

To remove the Telepass from the car's windscreen, use a very thin wire. Insert it between the device's attachment and the windscreen itself: the Telepass is fixed to the inner part of the windscreen using adhesive. Once the wire is inserted, move it laterally and vertically to ensure the adhesive is consumed. When the adhesive has been consumed, you can completely detach the Telepass from its housing and then clean the area.
