How to Replace the Key Fob Battery for a Jaguar XE

Today, learn how to replace the battery in the key fob of a Jaguar XE produced from 2020 to 2022. The battery you need to purchase for the replacement is the CR 2032 model, 3 Volt. To replace the battery, remove the metal part of the key fob that contains the emergency key. Insert a flat screwdriver into the side corner of the key fob and remove the metal cover to extract the key. After removing the key, use the flat screwdriver or the key itself to open the fob. Remove the worn battery and insert the new battery in its place. Close the two parts of the key fob and insert the metal key back inside; close the fob cover and test its operation.
