If the remote control of your Jaguar XJ6 (year 1994-1997) no longer works due to a completely dead battery and you want to replace it, all you have to do is carry out the following steps. First, get a flat head screwdriver and use it to remove the back cover of the key. Once this is done, remove the used battery and replace it with a new one (ECR 2016 model). Finally, reassemble the back cover correctly and you have completed the procedure. All that remains is to personally test the effective functioning of the key.
