Changing the engine oil on a Jeep Compass? Here’s how to do it. Lift the car on a column lift or jack, unscrew the oil sump bolt with a socket wrench (remove the plastic protective panel if necessary), let the fluid drain into a disposal container, and re-screw the sump bolt. After draining the oil from the engine, lower the car and open the bonnet, securing it. Refill the engine with new oil. Measure the oil level multiple times with the metal dipstick until it reaches the ideal level. Close the bonnet at the end of maintenance.

To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level.
