To change the engine oil on a Kawasaki Ninja 650, it is important to start by warming up the engine for a few minutes, so the oil becomes more fluid and easier to drain. Position the bike on a stable stand, such as a centre or side stand.

Locate the oil drain plug at the bottom of the engine and place a container underneath to collect the used fluid. Carefully unscrew the plug, allowing the old oil to drain completely.

Once emptied, screw the plug back in, ensuring it is tight to avoid leaks. Proceed to add new oil through the top opening of the reservoir, following the type and quantity recommended by the manufacturer.

After filling, start the engine to circulate the fresh oil, then turn it off and check the level, adding more if necessary to reach the optimal level.
