To change the engine oil of a Kawasaki Z650RS, first warm the engine slightly to reduce the oil's viscosity, allowing it to drain more easily. Once done, position the bike on a stable centre or side stand for safety.

Place a container under the drain plug located at the bottom of the oil sump and unscrew the plug with the appropriate tool. Allow the used oil to drain completely, ensuring all liquid is collected in the container.

Next, securely reattach the drain plug, checking for leaks. Then proceed to add new oil, using a funnel to avoid spills, and check the level with the dipstick or designated indicator.

Start the engine for a few seconds, turn it off, and recheck the level, topping up if necessary.
